Meals

Food for our campers is a priority at Lake Nillahcootie Camp. With the activity based nature of the outdoor education program it is vital that our campers are provided with regular meals to fuel active bodies.

Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. A hot meal is always offered in addition to the usual cereals and toast.

Lunch

Includes: Combinations of meat, chicken and salad rolls that are all prepared individually by the campers daily. This means that they are only choosing condiments that they like, but ensures that they do eat. Other meals can include hotdogs as a treat and with smaller groups in winter we have also been known to include hot roast beef rolls and homemade soup.
In addition, each lunch will include a fruit platter made with seasonal fruits.

Morning / Afternoon Tea

Includes: a homemade cake or slice with fruit and drinks with one and biscuits, fruit and drinks with the other.

Dinner

Includes: a two course meal that includes a main ranging from: roast beef, Jana’s famous spaghetti bolognaise, shepherds pie, roast chicken and a BBQ.
Desserts include homemade butterscotch pudding, apple crumble, fruit salad, jelly or chocolate pudding.

Supper

Hot chocolate and biscuits.
